A recent report by Golden Finance revealed the financing situation for Web3 startups in the first half of 2024. Data indicates that these emerging companies received a total of $3.7 billion in funding globally, down from $4.4 billion in the first half of 2023 but up by 42% compared to the $2.6 billion in the second half of last year. Quarter-on-quarter performance showed particularly active funding activities in the second quarter, with over $2 billion raised in a single quarter, marking an increase of approximately 11% from the first quarter, though still down about 18% compared to $2.2 billion in the same period last year. Notably, while the overall funding increased, there were fewer large-scale financing rounds, with only seven rounds exceeding $50 million in funding. This suggests that investment interest in the Web3 field is steadily rising, albeit cautiously. The increase in financing scale for two consecutive quarters signals growing signs of recovery in the Web3 industry.
