On July 26th, GOAT Network, a platform dedicated to Bitcoin's second layer networks, introduced its new GOAT Club initiative. This innovative move aims to encourage user engagement with the network through the implementation of a unique point system. Community members can accrue points by participating in whitelist and mainnet-related activities, while developers can earn points by engaging in Co-points activities and accumulating retroactive rewards (including on-chain transaction fees and staked assets). For sorter nodes, earning points through node mining is also possible. Currently, the first phase of the GOAT Network initiative features three nodes - notable entities such as Amber Group, Hashkey Cloud, and Benmo - promising a total commitment of $3.5 million in BTC, highlighting the platform's strong emphasis on user participation and positive outlook for future developments.
