During the 138th Etherum ACDC conference, Galaxy Research VP Christine Kim highlighted the key developer discussions of the week. The focus was on the launch of Pectra Devnet 1 which went live on July 23rd. However, the network experienced instability at the outset. The conference also mentioned changes in the beacon block body structure and engine API, as well as discussions on incorporating Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) into Pectra (specifically EIP 7688 and EIP 7495). Additionally, updates to PeerDAS and its implementation timeline on the mainnet were discussed. From a technical standpoint, EF developer operations engineer Parithosh Jayanthi noted that the Erigon client encountered initial issues after the Devnet launch. Further, transactions implementing EIP 7702 on the Devnet resulted in the network splitting into three states. Currently, the development team is working to debug the clients and resolve the resulting chain splits.
