In the realm of cryptocurrencies, an intriguing incident has recently come to light, involving the Astroport protocol within the Cosmos ecosystem. A hacker successfully exploited a flaw in the Astroport code, illegally minting millions of ASTRO tokens on the decentralized exchange Neutron. This act not only compromised the security of the protocol but also had a significant impact on the market. Following the illegal minting, the hacker proceeded to sell a portion of the tokens, leading to an increase in the circulating supply. Analysis suggests that the hacker has already sold 15 million ASTRO tokens, with approximately 39 million more ASTRO tokens still available for further sale. This event has once again reminded the crypto community to be vigilant about security risks when using decentralized finance products and sparked wide-ranging discussions about the value of the ASTRO token and the future prospects of the project.
