Bitcoin Core Project Fixes Two Major Network Stability Threats
Publication Time:2024-08-01 16:22:05
In the Bitcoin Core v22.0 version released in 2021, the Bitcoin Core project team has successfully resolved these two issues. However, it was only recently that these fixes were officially made public. The first, more severe vulnerability, if exploited, could lead to a denial-of-service attack causing network crashes. The second, less severe issue, related to the Miniupnp library used by Bitcoin Core, may cause nodes to run out of memory. This repair work helps further enhance the security and stability of the Bitcoin network, protecting user assets from potential threats.
