Hong Kong Legislative Council Member Proposes Setting Up a Web3.0 Industry Committee to Promote Development in the Cryptocurrency Domain

Recently, Mr. Chan Tsun Ming, a legislator from the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB), has put forward significant suggestions regarding the development of the Web3.0 field. He emphasized that in order to advance Hong Kong's progress in the Web3.0 cryptocurrency domain, the government should further strengthen related infrastructure construction and refine the compliance regulatory framework. On this basis, Mr. Chan proposed establishing a Web3.0 industry committee with the aim of formulating industry standards and norms, ensuring the healthy development of the market. Furthermore, he particularly highlighted the importance of enhancing professional skills for practitioners, making strengthening training an indispensable part of the process. Mr. Chan believes that Hong Kong should play a pioneering role in the Web 3.0 field, leveraging modern technological means such as big data and artificial intelligence to effectively monitor and issue alerts on the market, thus ensuring the stability and prosperity of the industry.
