Democratic Union Legislator Wong Chun Shu suggested that the Hong Kong government accelerate the establishment of a digital identity system and standards based on Hong Kong residents, aiming to achieve wider applications of digital identities among public and private institutions and encourage extensive use. This proposal particularly emphasizes the possibility of integrating digital identities into smart convenience platforms. Furthermore, Legislator Wong also proposed an innovative solution for issuing e-vouchers to tourists using Web3.0 technology. According to the proposal, the cost of transactions and distribution of e-vouchers through a Web3.0 platform is only 0.15% of the total amount, significantly reducing transaction costs compared to traditional banking service methods. This move not only promotes the development of the digital economy but also enhances the tourist experience and further drives the digital transformation of Hong Kong's tourism industry.
