Zero-Knowledge Project Audits Reveal Higher Risk of Critical Vulnerabilities: Veridise Study
Publication Time:2024-07-22 18:53:14
According to an analysis by Veridise of over 100 audits conducted over the past decade, ZK audits have, on average, identified about 18 issues per project, compared to around 16 for non-ZK audits. Remarkably, the percentage of critical vulnerabilities in ZK audits stands at 55%, markedly higher than the 27.5% found in other categories of audits. Veridise’s study indicates that common types of vulnerabilities include logical errors, maintainability issues, and data validation, which together account for 65% of all audit findings. These are particularly prevalent in ZK audits. These findings emphasize the need for comprehensive and deep audits of ZK projects.
