The blockchain technology platform Scroll has announced an important update, planning to release the Darwin recursive upgrade on August 21, 2024. This move is aimed at drastically reducing gas fees with an expected decrease of around 34%. By implementing the Darwin hard fork, multiple batches of proofs will be consolidated into a single validity proof, effectively lowering validation costs and improving network processing efficiency and transaction speed. To ensure a smooth implementation, Scroll deployed the function on the ScrollSepolia test network on August 14th to guarantee the stability and security of all features. With the reduction in gas fees, users will enjoy more economical and efficient trading experiences, further driving the continuous development and prosperity of the Scroll platform and its ecosystem.
