On August 7th, brokerage firm FalconX, specializing in institutional-grade digital asset transactions, reported that during this week's market turmoil, institutional investors employed a 'buy low' strategy, particularly evident in the trading data on that day. FalconX observed that all investors were net buyers, including proprietary trading departments, hedge funds, venture capital firms, and retail aggregators. The data showed that proprietary trading accounted for 57% of total traffic, hedge funds made up 63%, venture capital firms represented 61%, and retail aggregators reached 72%. Additionally, FalconX emphasized that the buying/selling ratio for today surpassed last week's 50%, indicating an improving market sentiment. In terms of cryptographic assets, Bitcoin (BTC) remained dominant, with its trading volume being 2.8 times that of the second largest cryptocurrency, Ethereum (ETH). Notably, both BTC and ETH volumes significantly outpaced other altcoins, highlighting their market influence.
