Genesis Digital Assets Limited (GDA), a bitcoin mining firm, recently initiated an innovative environmental project in Norsjö, Sweden, aiming to utilize the residual heat from its bitcoin mining data center for garage heating. Through collaboration with Muttern Fastigheter, GDA successfully redirected the waste heat produced during data center operations at a temperature of 52°C to provide 90,000 cubic meters of hot air per hour to a 1,200 square meter garage. This initiative not only addresses the heating demands brought about by extreme winter temperatures in Västerbotten County, but also effectively enhances energy usage efficiency, providing new perspectives on global exploration of green and energy-saving technologies. Currently operating 20 data centers with a total hash power of 600 megawatts and over 180,000 mining machines, this project not only demonstrates GDA's strong capabilities in bitcoin mining but also showcases its commitment to environmental protection and social responsibility.
