Golden Finance reported on the outcome of the recent lawsuit case decided by an American judge, where Ripple was found liable to pay a $125 million fine to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Ripple's Chief Executive Officer, Brad Garlinghouse, responded on the X platform to this matter. He said that the SEC had previously requested a compensation of $2 billion, but the court concluded that the SEC's actions were excessive, reducing the compensation amount to 94% of the original sum. Facing this judgment result, Ripple stated that it will respect the court's decision and persistently push forward its company's development. This incident is regarded as a triumph for Ripple, the entire cryptocurrency industry, and the legal system. At the same time, Garlinghouse stressed that the obstacles and pressures exerted by the SEC on the XRP community no longer exist.
