Grayscale, Bitwise, and NYSE Propose Ethereum ETF Options Trading

Cointelegraph reports that Grayscale Investments and Bitwise Asset Management recently teamed up with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to submit a proposal for rule changes to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The heart of this proposal is to allow options trading on the Bitwise Ethereum ETF, Grayscale Ethereum Trust, and Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust. As described in the document, this will provide investors with a relatively cost-effective investment tool while also allowing them to use options as a hedging mechanism against market volatility or to meet their needs for investments in Ethereum products and positions. It is worth noting that public feedback on this proposal will be collected over the next 21 days. Additionally, despite several companies actively seeking approval for spot Bitcoin ETF options trading, there have been no successful cases to date.
