The High Court issued a global asset freeze order on August 7 against Ruja Ignatova, known as the 'Crypto Queen,' along with several co-conspirators suspected of involvement in the OneCoin scheme, including Sebastian Greenwood, Christopher Hamilton, and Robert MacDonald. The action was initiated by over 400 victims after the collapse of the OneCoin scheme, petitioning for the freezing of assets of these individuals and influencers accused of aiding OneCoin in money laundering activities. Additionally, commercial entities involved in money laundering and purchasing OneCoin assets linked to Ignatova were sanctioned with a global asset freeze. It is reported that between the establishment of OneCoin in 2014 and its fraudulent project's collapse in 2017 when Ignatova went missing, she lured countless investors into a $4 billion Ponzi scheme. Her last sighting was in Athens, Greece, in 2017, after which there has been no further information, leading the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to list her as one of their ten most wanted fugitives.
