Chris Burniske, a former head of crypto at Ark Invest and current co-partner at PlaceholderVC, shared his insights on investing on social media. He mentioned that during each investment cycle, he typically pays most attention to one promising 'up-and-coming' project. In previous cycles, these projects were Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and now SOL. He emphasized the importance of maintaining investment flexibility and avoiding dogmatism. At the same time, Burniske continues to hold BTC and keeps staking ETH. When asked why he focuses on SOL, he preferred to support dynamic and differentiated projects because they caught his interest more. Moreover, he noted that fewer investors are willing to take risks on new 'up-and-coming' projects compared to established ones, which requires higher career risks. Burniske is proud of his expertise in transitioning from 'up-and-coming' projects to mature ones, so he might divert more of his focus away from SOL to other projects in the future. Nevertheless, the cryptocurrency field is still considered a promising market for 'up-and-coming' projects, so he will continue to support all sincere efforts, albeit with a particular focus on those projects that perform relatively better in each cycle.
