According to the Turkish Capital Markets Board (CBM), since the implementation of the new 'Amendment to the Capital Markets Law' on July 2nd, 47 crypto companies have applied for licenses under the new regulation. This wave of applications has attracted major exchanges like Bitfinex, Binance TR, and OKX TR to enter the Turkish market. However, platforms such as Coinbase, Bybit, KuCoin, MEXC, and Gate have not yet submitted their applications. The CBM stated that three companies have announced their liquidation, and the applications of companies providing insufficient or incomplete information are still under review. The CBM emphasized that being listed on the 'Operating Companies List' does not mean they have received official authorization. After secondary legislation is issued, these entities will need to seek formal approval from the committee. As companies address existing issues or the CBM completes its investigations, the list will be updated to reflect the current regulatory situation.
