Tyler Winklevoss, co-founder of Gemini, raised questions on social media platform X about why US Vice President Kamala Harris was absent from a roundtable discussion in the cryptocurrency field. Winklevoss pointed out that given the virtual nature of the meeting and Harris' campaign schedule, the meeting could have been accessed via the internet, suggesting that technical challenges did not seem to be an issue. He speculated that the meeting may not have been designed as a focal point for Harris' campaign activities but rather focused on the current administration's policies and positions. This view was supported by Forbes journalist Eleanor Terrett, who mentioned that the meeting was originally intended to discuss government-level issues, rather than Kamala Harris' personal campaign priorities. Terrett also added that with Harris having transitioned from her governmental role to the campaign team, her absence might be related to the meeting's focus, possibly with administrative personnel clearly stating this distinction at the beginning of the meeting.
