The Thai securities regulator recently announced the launch of a program called the 'Crypto Regulatory Sandbox,' aimed at providing a safe and controlled environment for experimentation and innovation in digital asset services. Following approval by the SEC board in March, a public hearing was held in May. According to the SEC, the regulatory sandbox targets six types of industry participants: digital asset exchanges, brokers, dealers, fund managers, advisors, and custodian wallet providers. Through this mechanism, these participants can test their services in real-world environments, thereby promoting the healthy development and technological innovation of Thailand's cryptocurrency market.
