Cointelegraph reports that Optimism developers have unveiled a comprehensive roadmap aimed at achieving interoperability among Layer2 chains within its superchain ecosystem by constructing a communication layer. This layer will encompass a message transmission protocol, superchain token standards (SuperchainERC20), interoperability fault proofs, and a suite of interoperable chains, all designed to address the issue of consistent user experience across different ecosystems. The development network for the message transmission protocol is currently in preparation stage. Upon completion of the development network phase, a testnet for both the message transmission protocol and token standards will be launched, with the final implementation on the mainnet. Optimism asserts that this technological vision is not confined to solving the interoperability issues within superchains but is geared towards enhancing interoperability across the entire Ethereum ecosystem, ensuring that users receive a unified premium experience regardless of the ecosystem they are in.
