Cryptocurrency mining company Bitfarms recently underwent a leadership reshuffle. Co-founder Nicolas Bonta has stepped down from the board, while CEO Ben Gagnon has been appointed as a board member, and lead director Brian Howlett has become the new independent chairman. This change comes after the company fired its former CEO Geoffrey Morphy in May. Morphy left due to a $27 million severance claim against the company. Despite this personnel change, Bitfarms showed positive results in its recent financial report: net loss was $27 million, with basic and diluted losses per share at 7 cents, better than market expectations of a 11 cent loss per share. Additionally, affected by the block reward reduction following the Bitcoin halving event in April, Bitfarms' revenue was approximately $42 million, a decrease of 16% compared to the first quarter.
