According to the latest report from the well-known analysis firm Fenimore Harper, there is an alarming trend on Meta's platform where up to 43% of advertisements involving British Prime Minister Keir Starmer are fraudulent and related to cryptocurrency. These scam ads have been spotted in over 250 instances, as criminals employ deep fake technology to impersonate Keir Starmer, attempting to lure users into investing in virtual currencies and subsequently stealing their funds. This situation has raised considerable attention, emphasizing the growing cybersecurity challenges faced by social media platforms, especially concerning political figures' ads.
