A chart posted by Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas on platform X shows that the number of Bitcoin held by US-based Bitcoin ETFs is swiftly approaching the amount held by its anonymous founder, Satoshi. According to the chart, currently, 10 spot Bitcoin funds traded on US stock exchanges collectively hold nearly 1 million BTC. Despite slight discrepancies between the numbers shown and the current total, it's projected that the aggregate size of Bitcoin ETFs will surpass the 1.1 million BTC held by Satoshi in October. Furthermore, it's expected that a fund under BlackRock's management will take the lead as the top holder by the end of 2025. However, it's worth noting that this is merely a theoretical estimation, and some analysts have raised doubts about it. If the estimate turns out to be true, the value of the Bitcoin currently held by Satoshi at today's prices would amount to approximately $67 billion.
