In a recent large-scale operation, Malaysian police uncovered a case involving seven suspects who were allegedly stealing electricity for Bitcoin mining activities. The main focus of the case was in the Shah Alam area, where police successfully arrested three local residents and four foreigners. It is claimed that these suspects had no previous criminal records, with their primary aim being to investigate and combat illegal Bitcoin mining activities to steal public electrical resources. During the operation, police confiscated a total of 52 machines used for Bitcoin mining along with other related electronic devices, valued at approximately MYR 250,000 (around $57,000). These measures highlight Malaysia's determination and intensity in combating illegal economic activities.
