In her new role, Kofman will report directly to Mira Murati, the Chief Technology Officer of OpenAI, and in the early stages, she will focus on safety and preparation matters. Kofman worked at Meta under Zuckerberg for five years and most recently served as a senior director for generative AI product management. This appointment reflects OpenAI's emphasis on strengthening its strategic direction and enhancing safety.
