The CEO of South Korean digital asset management platform Haru Invest, Hugo Le, was assaulted while appearing in court for a fraud trial in Seoul's southern district. Fortunately, his injuries do not appear life-threatening and he has been taken to the hospital for treatment. The assailant has been successfully apprehended by the police. This incident occurred recently, following the arrest of three high-ranking officials from Haru Invest in February for allegedly stealing approximately 1.1 trillion won (equivalent to $82.8 million) worth of cryptocurrency. It is reported that the company suspended withdrawal and deposit services in June last year and dismissed around 100 employees.
