Starting from 2022, the Xuhui District People's Procuratorate of Shanghai has handled 23 criminal cases related to cryptocurrencies, involving 45 suspects. This data reflects an upward trend in such criminal activities over the past three years. According to prosecutors, the methods used in these cases are characterized by complexity, technical specialization, and concealment, with higher amounts of crime. In the cases already processed, the average illegal gains of the perpetrators reached over 1 million yuan, and in some cases, the illegal gains exceeded 5 million yuan.
