The EU has announced that it will allocate €1.4 billion from frozen Russian assets to provide military aid to Ukraine. This decision was revealed by Josep Borrell, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, at a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee. Borrell stated that these funds will be used directly to enhance Ukraine's military defense capabilities. It is reported that the first tranche of aid is expected to be transferred by early August. This move aims to further strengthen Ukraine's defensive system, exert pressure on Russia, and demonstrate the EU's determination and actions in maintaining regional stability.
