Web3 game developer Mino Games has announced that it is shifting its card game Dimensionals to a Web2 model. The game had previously ventured into the Web3 space in March 2023, launching a Genesis series through free minting. However, the project faced numerous challenges during execution, including large numbers of bots claiming whitelist giveaways and frequent DDoS attacks. Additionally, reforms to NFT royalty policies led to unstable revenue sources. As NFT values declined, fraudulent activities even surfaced within the community. Given these practical issues, Mino Games decided to abandon its Web3 development, instead focusing on the Web2 model, aiming for a more stable operational environment and user base.
