Security-focused AI startup Safe Superintelligence (SSI) announced its successful raising of $1 billion. This round of financing attracted prominent investment firms including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Sequoia Capital, DST Global, and SV Angel. Currently, the SSI team consists of 10 members, with offices mainly located in Palo Alto, California, and Tel Aviv, Israel. The new funds will be used to expand computing resources and recruit top talent to join the team. Although the company has not publicly disclosed its specific valuation, insiders estimate it is worth around $5 billion. One of the lead investors in this funding round is the investment partnership NFDG operated by Nat Friedman and SSI's CEO Daniel Gross.
