On July 23 at 3:00 PM, decentralized yield protocol Spectra (previously known as APWine) experienced a security incident. The hacker successfully hijacked user transactions on the platform, affecting four wallets and resulting in a loss of approximately 168 ETH. Although the core protocol contract of Spectra was not damaged, user funds were lost. The platform resumed normal operations on the morning of July 24. In response to this situation, Spectra made recovery of affected users' funds their top priority and contacted relevant departments and third-party institutions, including exchanges and security companies, to seek assistance in tracking and recovering the funds. After communicating with the hacker, Spectra proposed a settlement plan, allowing the hacker to return 90% of the funds and retaining 10%, after which no further legal action would be pursued.
