The Global Number of Bitcoin ATMs Plunged Over 600 Units in Two Months

In the initial stages of the third quarter of 2024, the number of global Bitcoin Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) showed a clear downward trend. According to data provided by Coin ATM Radar, the device count decreased by 435 units in July and an additional 182 units in August, resulting in a cumulative decrease of 617 units. Notably, the US market stood out, with a net reduction of 669 devices over the two months, accounting for 108.4% of the global decline. This phenomenon has attracted widespread attention from both the industry and the public, leading to varied interpretations about the future prospects of Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market.
