Eigen Layer recently announced the launch of its second season of staking airdrop program aimed at further incentivizing users interacting with the platform. The event will distribute 86 million EIGEN tokens as rewards to participants. Among these, stakers and node operators will receive 70 million tokens, while ecosystem partners and the Eigen Layer community will receive 10 million and 6 million tokens respectively. This token distribution plan marks 5% of the total EIGEN supply being put into circulation, totaling 1.67 billion tokens. The airdrop event is expected to begin on September 17th, providing users with a lucrative reward opportunity.
