Recently, the Russian State Duma has passed an act allowing cryptocurrency mining activities to be legalized in the country. This move signifies the official recognition of the value of mining activities by Russia and plans for cooperation with the Central Bank of Russia to establish specific operational requirements for individuals, legal entities, and mining pool participants engaged in digital currency mining. In order to ensure that these regulations are implemented, the government will be responsible for monitoring compliance, with this task being assigned to the Department of Digital Development. The government also possesses the authority to ban mining activities in certain regions or territories when deemed necessary, to address potential impacts.
