In response to recent attacks, DeFi protocol Penpie has taken proactive measures by announcing a bounty program that offers a 10% reward for users who provide information that helps in the recovery of stolen funds. In this incident, security monitoring by PeckShield revealed that the attackers had transferred 9,600 ETH, valued at approximately $23 million, stolen from Penpie to a Tornado Cash address. In light of this challenge, Penpie quickly responded by launching the bounty program, aiming to encourage community members to collectively participate in the effort to recover the stolen funds and safeguard investor interests. This not only highlights the protocol's heightened concern for user asset security but also showcases its proactive attitude and solution-oriented approach in dealing with crises.
