An early advisor to Ethereum has initiated legal action against a well-known law firm, seeking compensation of $100 million. The incident stems from the advisor's allegations in an US extortion case from 2019, where he claims that the law firm made mistakes during his defense, advising him not to provide key evidence to the prosecutors. According to the advisor, this led to a prolonged delay in the case until June 2022 when the advisor decided to submit the crucial evidence. After submitting the critical evidence, the case was dismissed in May 2023. In response to the accusations, the law firm denies all allegations and maintains that the lawsuit is groundless, stating their intention to take a firm stance in their defense.
