Fractal Bitcoin: A Hasty Clone of Bitcoin Core v24.0.1 and a Bitcoin Trash Fork

The founder of mempool, @mononautical, expressed on the X platform that Fractal Bitcoin, recently launched, may be a hasty clone of Bitcoin Core v24.0.1. The coin seems to have been quickly replicated from the original version within a short period, with some consensus adjustments and code copied from Namecoin and Bcash projects. Notably, Fractal Bitcoin has a premine issue, accounting for 50% of its fully diluted supply, while miners would need a full two years, or one Fractal Bitcoin halving cycle, to earn half of the rewards obtained by the founding team on the first day. Moreover, its technical documentation is filled with high-sounding but impractical technical terms such as 'virtualization', 'recursion', and 'hierarchical scaling'. This makes Fractal Bitcoin regarded as another trash fork of Bitcoin, reflecting a lack of substantial innovation and thoughtful planning in the project.
