Recently, an Indonesian cryptocurrency exchange platform, Indodax, suffered a serious security incident. According to monitoring by industry surveillance platform Cyvers Alerts, over 150 suspicious transactions occurred in wallets across various blockchain networks linked to the platform. These transaction activities suggest that hackers may have successfully breached Indodax's wallet system and transferred large amounts of funds to multiple unknown addresses. Preliminary estimates indicate total losses amounting to nearly $18.2 million due to this attack. More alarmingly, the stolen cryptocurrencies are being actively exchanged for Ethereum (ETH) at suspicious addresses, indicating that hackers are attempting to further disperse and hide their gains. Currently, relevant institutions and security teams are working closely together to investigate the details of this incident and seek effective countermeasures. The security issues within the cryptocurrency industry have once again attracted widespread attention, reminding all users to strengthen the security protection of their personal accounts to ensure asset safety.
