A spokesperson for the European Banking Authority (EBA) has revealed that operational guidelines for stablecoin issuers such as Tether and Circle are expected to be officially released within the year. These guidelines will be part of the 15 technical standards proposed jointly by the EBA and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), aiming to clarify the compliance requirements for stablecoin issuers within the EU. This move is intended to strengthen market oversight, enhancing the stability and transparency of the financial system.
