Recently, Stacks established the Asia Foundation as part of its global strategy. The foundation received an initial funding of USD 15 million. Its main objective is to forge close connections with major Asian markets by supporting local builders, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the liquidity and accessibility of key ecosystem assets. This aims to promote the application and development of blockchain technology in the Asian region, thereby enhancing the overall vitality and influence of the Stacks ecosystem and boosting its visibility and user base in the market. Moreover, Stacks plans to activate the Nakamoto upgrade at block height 861500 through a hard fork. This upgrade is expected to significantly increase transaction speed from the current 10-30 minutes to 5-10 seconds, further improving user experience and accelerating the dissemination and application of blockchain technology.
