The former US President, Donald Trump, announced on his official X account that his cryptocurrency project, World Liberty Financial, will officially go live on September 16th. The initiative aims to 'embracing the future of cryptocurrency' and 'abandoning outdated large banks'. Trump was a strong proponent of cryptocurrencies during his campaign, promising if he were re-elected as president, he would fire SEC chairman Gary Gensler and prevent the US from selling 213,000 bitcoins. The project will be based on decentralized finance platform Aave and Ethereum blockchain, with a focus on 'credit account systems'. Corey Caplan, co-founder of Dolomite, has been appointed as a consultant for the project, and it will work with top security experts to ensure user safety. Prior to this, the X accounts of Lara and Tiffany Trump were hacked, releasing information about related tokens. Representative Maxine Waters criticized the project.
